President Yoweri Museveni has encouraged wananchi in the country to emulate those families that have realized socio-economic transformation in their communities and localities.
"To come to celebrate 83 years of age with Constance Kabakaali Muhangazima, is because of what she has achieved on ground and is evident. She has good religious background, educated children, disciplined and has an economically stable family," he said.
The President was today speaking at the thanksgiving ceremony in honour of Constance Kabakaali Muhangazima Adyeri, wife to the late Phillip Muhangazima at her home in Kanyandahi Parish of Ruteete Sub-County in Burahya County, Kabarole district in Western Uganda.
Mr. Museveni commended people in the country who have pioneered the promotion and growth of education saying that they should be praised.
"Adyeri and her late husband Phillip have led exemplary life in the area that can inspire others to take a step ahead in socio-economic development. Adyeri is still around, emulate what she has done,” he said.
He noted that in the past, women produced many children with brevity having 'social insurance survival attitude' that if some children die others would survive. He, however, advised the young generation of girls in the country to produce four children because the health facilities available can be their life assurance.
President Museveni strongly advised wananchi in the country to embrace the attitude of hard work in order to lead improved economic status at household level and also ensure food security.
Welcoming her friends, family members and the local residents who joined her to celebrate her 83rd birthday anniversary, Constance Kabakaali Muhangazima praised God the Creator for the gift of her life. Despite her advanced age, she enjoys a sharp memory, good sight, good hearing and is very healthy.
“The gift of life is the only element on earth I have to thank the Almighty God for,” she said. She thanked President Museveni for being supportive to her family.
She thanked the family members and her biological children, among who is Hon. Margaret Muhanga, Member of Parliament for Burahya Constituency for supporting and facilitating her medical treatment whenever it would be required.
