President Meets Israeli Agri-Living Delegation

President Yoweri Museveni has received a delegation of agricultural investors from Israel, led by Mr. Gil Arbel of Agri-living Group, who are interested in opening up a demonstration farm in Uganda.
The meeting took place this afternoon at State House, Entebbe.
The group that is based in Israel but has a branch in Uganda, is interested in opening up intensive irrigation schemes in the country.
President Museveni assured the delegation of Uganda government’s support in establishing a demonstration farm.  
Mr. Gil Arbel, on his part, informed President Museveni that they will specialise in growing crops and producing different feeds for animals. He added that his group will also grow cocoa, cassava and other crops for export to foreign markets.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Hon. Matia Kasaija, that of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Amongi Betty and of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, Hon. Vincent Bamulangaki Sempijja.
