MORULINGA, NAPAK DISTRICT: President Yoweri Museveni who is also the Commander in Chief of the Uganda Peoples defence forces has summoned the army’s top commanders over a major assault on revenge cattle raids that have left hundreds dead and thousands of cattle raided causing panic in a region that has experieced 15 years of total peace and rapid development.

STATE LODGE, NAKASERO: President Yoweri Museveni has said that the issue of food systems is multi-dimensional and several areas including improved seeds and agro-practices, storage and post-harvest handling, improved agricultural mechanization, good infrastructure like roads and railway lines as well as electricity need to paid special attention to build resilient food systems.

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Yoweri Museveni has condoled with the families who lost their loved ones to Bijambiya gangs that have been terrorising residents of Masaka and Lwengo districts.

The President was yesterday meeting Russia’s Ambassador to Uganda H.E Alexander Dmitrievich Polyakov who paid a courtesy call on him at State House Entebbe.

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: A tripartite meeting involving government technocrats, West Nile and Acholi leaders has been summoned by President Yoweri Museveni for Friday 10, September to decide on the Apaa land conflict and will be supported by Satellite images taken in 1984 before the war and colonial boundaries to resolve the issue for good.

MARINE BASE, ENTEBBE: The Parliamentary Health Commitee has today conducted a fact-finding mission to ascertain the status of the boat Ambulances that Ministry of Health procured as part the Emergency Medical Services.

The boat ambulances are currently kept at the UPDF Marine base in Entebbe awaiting dispatching to various districts. 

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Yoweri Museveni has today met and held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed Ali who is in Uganda on a one day working visit.

The two leaders discussed various issues and agreed to further strengthen cooperation in bilateral, regional and international issues of common interest.

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Yoweri Museveni has said Uganda is ready to embrace the harmonisation of ideas on what is supposed to be done as far as food security is concerned.

The President was today meeting with the former Tanzanian President H.E Mrisho Jakaya Kikwete on increase of and transformation of Agriculture in Africa ahead of the Africa Green Revolution Summit next month.
