PRESIDENT MUSEVENI MEETS MULAGO HOSPITAL SURGEONS AFTER SUCCESSFUL KIDNEY TRANSPLANT

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday 22nd December, 2023 met a group of surgeons from Mulago National Referral Hospital who performed the first ever Kidney transplant in Uganda at the facility last Wednesday. 

The group that paid a courtesy call on President Museveni at State House, Entebbe was led by the Minister of Health, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng.

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI COMMISSIONS FIRST DIAGNOSTIC MANUFACTURING PLANT IN THE GREAT LAKES REGION

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today commissioned a diagnostic test kit manufacturing plant, the first of its kind in the Great Lakes region.

Situated in Ntinda, Nakawa Division, Kampala, the state of the art plant- Microhaem Scientifics (MHS) will support Uganda and the regional health sectors to develop local manufacturing capacity towards improving and sustaining the medical supply chain needs by producing high-quality and affordable malaria and HIV diagnostic testing kits in the country.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has reassured investors of the government's commitment to support them so that they help the country to steer its socio-economic development agenda. 

“The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives should capture information of all these people so that we give them support because these are not very difficult to support,” he said.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Wednesday 29th November 2023 met and held a brief interaction with Mexican global conservationist and media influencer, Mr. Arturo Islas Allende during the Presidential Investors Conference at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.

During the interaction, President Museveni informed Mr. Allende that Uganda always welcomes and is ready to work with any positive-minded person who is willing to help the country achieve its socio-economic transformation agenda.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday met and held discussions with the Ambassador of the United States of America (USA) to Uganda, H.E William W. Popp at State House Entebbe. 

During the meeting, President Museveni and Ambassador Popp discussed a wide range of topics including the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) issue. 

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI HOSTED BY UAE LEADER HIS HIGHNESS, SHEIKH MOHAMMED BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni today met and held discussions with the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The discussion between the two leaders centred around strengthening the bilateral relations between Uganda and the UAE, investment opportunities in the pathogenic economy, renewable energy and sustainability. 

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI INSPECTS PROGRESS OF INFRASTRUCTURE SITES AHEAD OF NAM AND G-77 SUMMITS

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, yesterday, November 18, 2023, inspected and assessed the readiness of various infrastructure projects ahead of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Group of 77 (G-77) +China Third South summits. 

Uganda will host the two summits from 15th-23rd January 2024 at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Kampala. 

NAM will run under the theme: “Deepening Cooperation for Shared Global Affluence” whereas the Third South summit will focus on “Leaving No One Behind”.
