Presidents Museveni, Kagame for another meeting in Katuna in 3 weeks

Luanda - President Yoweri Museveni and his Rwandan counterpart, Paul Kagame, will hold another round of talks in three weeks time, at the Katuna border post, as they continue to seek ways of resolving sticking issues between the two countries. 

The resolution was one of five that the Heads of State arrived at today (Sunday) during the third round of talks in Luanda, Angola. 

“Stop Delaying huge Projects” – President to Judiciary

President Yoweri Museveni has told the Judiciary to stop delaying huge projects that have financial implications as such action denies the country economic growth and employment that are part of the historical mandate of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Government.

The President was referring to a case in which the investor in the  Osukuru fertilizers factory in Tororo District Eastern Uganda, was stopped by the Court from operating due to some misunderstanding with his partners.

President Museveni calls for Increased Commercial Agriculture

President Yoweri Museveni has called on wananchi in the country to intensify commercial agriculture. 

The President made the call today at St. George’s Core Primary Teachers’ College in Ibanda District as Uganda marked the 34th NRM/NRA victory day anniversary celebrations. The occasion was marked under the theme: ‘Celebrating NRM/NRA Patriotic Struggle that Ushered in National Unity and Social Transformation’. 

President urges NRM’s NEC Members on a United Uganda

President Yoweri Museveni has called on the members of the National Executive Council of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) to unite Uganda in order to have a united Ugandan market. 

The President, who is the National Chairman of the National Resistance Movement Party, made the call today at State House, Entebbe where he addressed a one-day meeting of the Second Meeting of the 3rd National Executive Council of the National Resistance Movement.

SFC Commander salutes President Museveni for Visionary Leadership

The Commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC), Maj. Gen. James Birungi, has saluted President Museveni for his visionary leadership. 

Maj. Gen. Birungi was speaking at the 10th Marine Battalion Grounds in Entebbe Municipality earlier this week during a luncheon he hosted to welcome back 108 SFC soldiers after completing their one year call of duty in Somalia where they had been deployed as part of the peace-keeping mission in the Horn of Africa country under the leadership of Lt. Col. David Mugisha. 

President Museveni in Togo for summit on drug Trafficking, counterfeit Medicines

 

LOME, TOGO: President Yoweri Museveni has arrived in the Togolese Capital Lome for a two-day France – Africa summit on drug trafficking and counterfeit medicines on the continent. The President arrived at the Lome- Tokoin Gnassingbe Eyadema International airport and was received by his host President Faure Essozimna Gnassingbe.
