Facilitation of Trade will Ensure Prosperity for our People- President

HUNAN PROVINCE, CHINA: President Yoweri Museveni has said partnerships especially around trade and trade facilitation will ensure global prosperity of nations which leaders must understand, adding however, that mutual support around trade must include infrastructure development such as roads, railway, electricity, ICT backbone, trained man-power etc.

President Yoweri Museveni has urged all Ugandans, especially Movement leaders, to fully understand that the Movement is not a mere political party but rather a mission driven liberation group whose protracted struggle for over the last five decades has entailed working for the socio-economic transformation of Uganda and the African continent so that Africa can be as modern as Europe, America and the current Asian continent’s status of development.

President Museveni receives Special Message from Angola Leader

President Yoweri Museveni has received special message from his Angola counterpart, Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco.

Special Envoy and Foreign Affairs Minister of Angola, Mr. Manuel Domingos Augustino, delivered the message to Mr. Museveni today at State House, Nakasero. 

President Museveni and the Angolan delegation discussed regional issues. 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sam Kuteesa attended the meeting.

President Graces 30th Heroes’ Day Celebrations in Kasanje, Wakiso District

President Yoweri Museveni has saluted war heroes who died fighting for the political freedom, liberation and the peace that Ugandans are enjoying today.
Speaking today during the 30th Heroes Day Anniversary celebrations at Kasanje Town Council in Wakiso District under the theme “Celebrating the Courageous Heroes that Brought the Peace and Prosperity We Are Enjoying.”

President Receives special message from Congo Leader

President Yoweri Museveni has received a special message from his counterpart, President Dennis Sassou Nguesso, of Congo (Brazzaville).

The Congolese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Jean Claude Gakosso, delivered the message to President Museveni yesterday evening at State House, Nakasero.

The Congolese Minister led his country’s pilgrims to the annual Namugongo Martyrs’ Day celebrations that took place yesterday.
