President receives special message from President Sassou Nguesso of Congo Brazzaville

President Yoweri Museveni has received a special message from his Republic of Congo counterpart, President Denis Sassou. 

Congo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. Jean Claude Gakosso, handed over the message to the President on Friday evening at State House Entebbe. 

President Museveni and the Congolese delegation discussed bilateral relations between their two countries, the Republic of Congo and Uganda. 

“No one will Disturb Peace in Uganda” – President Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni has said that no one will disturb peace in Uganda. He was speaking at the celebrations marking the National Women’s Day held today at Rwimi Primary School in Bunyangabu District in the Rwenzori Sub-Region in Western Uganda. The theme of the celebrations was ‘Empowering Women Through Innovative Approaches to Social Protection; a Prerequisite for Inclusive and Sustainable Development.’ 

President Museveni meets Bollywood film Stars

 

President Yoweri Museveni has encouraged Indian film-makers from Bollywood to promote Uganda’s beauty and investment potential through films adding that government is willing to support them.

The President was this afternoon meeting the Bollywood actors led by Bharat Dabholkar who called on him at State Lodge in Nakasero. He urged them to bring more tourists from India to Uganda where they can enjoy Uganda’s beautiful culture, nature and beautiful weather.

CPA Endorses President Museveni as Deputy Chair Commonwealth Conference

President Yoweri Museveni has received and accepted an invitation from the Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association who is also the Deputy Speaker of the Cameroon National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emilia Monjowa Lifaka to become the deputy patron of the Commonwealth Conference. The patron is Queen Elizabeth the 2nd of the United Kingdom. 

“Use Infrastructure to Overcome poverty” – President to Ugandans

President Yoweri Museveni has said that whereas the National Resistance Movement (NRM) Government has lifted Uganda from a collapsed state and economy and registered commendable development especially in the infrastructure sector of the economy, the failure by majority of Ugandans to make good use of it to produce, generate wealth and overcome household poverty, remains a roadblock to the country’s prosperity agenda.

“Know the People you lead to Serve them Better” – President tells RDCs

President Yoweri Museveni has urged Resident District Commissioners (RDCs) to expend their efforts at knowing the kind of people that they lead in their different places of work in order to appreciate and serve them better.
The President was yesterday speaking at the closing of the one-week retreat for RDCs and Deputy RDCs at State House, Entebbe. The retreat had been held at the National Leadership Institute, (NALI) in Kyankwanzi District.
