PRESIDENT MUSEVENI DEFENDS SPEAKER AGAINST THOSE ATTACKING HER ON SOCIAL MEDIA

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has defended the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among against those attacking her on social media over alleged corruption and irrational expenditure of Parliament.

The Minister of State for Northern Uganda Affairs, Dr. Kenneth Omona has called upon the people of Northern Uganda to appreciate the achievements and contributions of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s government in bringing peace and transformation in the region. 

He also advised that they should support all the initiatives by the President aimed at bringing prosperity in Northern Uganda.

The State House Investors Protection Unit and the National Planning Authority (NPA) have today held a brainstorming meeting on the establishment of an Indigenous Patient Capital and Cross-border African Investment Bank. 

The meeting was held at the State House Investors Protection Unit Offices in Kampala. 

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has commended the educated people for improving the quality of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF). 

“We value the educated young people, and we want them for our institutions, especially the scientists. The educated people including the social scientists have improved the quality of our army,” he said.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who is also the National Chairman of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has encouraged the people of Dokolo District to join and support the ruling party because it has the medicine which is able to deal with the problems of Ugandans.

His Excellency, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has returned home after a one-day official visit to Zanzibar. The President spent yesterday meeting with Her Excellency, Samia Suluhu Hassan, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, and His Excellency, William Samoei Ruto, the President of the Republic of Kenya.
