PRESIDENT MUSEVENI AND NIGERIAN TRADITIONAL RULER DISCUSS OIL, AGRICULTURAL PROCESSING

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni today 12th December 2023 met and held discussions with His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, a Nigerian traditional ruler of the Kingdom of Warri in the Delta State, who called on him at State Lodge, Nakasero.

During the meeting, President Museveni and King Ogiame Atuwatse III, together with his delegation mainly discussed oil exploration and Agricultural processing.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has reiterated his position on access to markets, stressing that it is to everyone's advantage and beneficial to all countries trading together. 

“Now after the liberation of Africa, what we need is economic development and transformation. Here we need four factors. Human resource development, infrastructure development, investment and the production of goods and services as well as markets,” he noted. 

SPOUSES OF SFC SOLDIERS TIPPED ON GENERATING OWN INCOME TO SUPPORT THEIR FAMILIES

The State House Under Secretary, Ms. Hope Nyakairu yesterday 1st December, 2023 urged the spouses of Special Forces Command (SFC) soldiers to focus on generating their own sources of income in order to improve the welfare of their families. 

Ms. Nyakairu made the appeal while representing the State House Comptroller, Ms. Jane Barekye during a graduation ceremony of 208 spouses of SFC soldiers at Marine Battalion  Headquarters in Entebbe. 

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI MEETS VENEZUELAN ENVOYS

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday 2nd November 2023 met and held discussions with the Venezuelan Envoys at State Lodge- Nakasero. 

The envoys included H.E Yvan Gil Pinto, the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and Hon. Yuri Pimentel Moura, the Vice Minister for Africa in the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

“SPORTS MUST GO WITH DISCIPLINE”- PRESIDENT MUSEVENI TIPS ATHLETES

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has advised athletes that they must be disciplined if they want to go far with their sports careers.

“Alcohol, prostitution, fighting and all that, don't go well with sports and they can ruin your life. Sports must go with discipline and the fear of the Lord, then your future will be bright,” President Museveni said.
