WAKISO DISTRICT: The Head of the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, Lt Col Edith Nakalema has said that the national constitution empowers all citizens to fight corruption and misuse or wastage of public funds.

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE. President Museveni has commended Brac Uganda Ltd, a Non-Governmental Organization, for helping local communities to access knowledge on education, healthcare and other services. 

“The crucial thing is knowledge. If you are contributing knowledge, that is a good thing,” President Museveni said this afternoon as he met executives of BRAC at State House Entebbe. 

KAMPALA: The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Steven Kaziimba Mugalu has called on the staff of the State House Anti- Corruption Unit to have total trust in God in order to achieve their set goals. 

KABALYE, MASINDI: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who is also the Commander in Chief of the armed forces has passed out a total of 4,809 police officers at the Police Training School- Kabalye in Masindi.

The pass out ceremony took place yesterday (Friday) at the Police Training School-Kabalye, Kijunjubi Sub-county in Masindi District.

NAKASONGOLA: The Deputy Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Lt.Gen.  Wilson Mbasu Mbadi has congratulated the Special Forces Command (SFC) officers upon completing six weeks refresher course saying this should motivate them to serve their country better and also contribute positively to national and regional issues.

KAMPALA: Vendors operating by the roadsides should move to the new markets that the government is constructing, President Museveni has advised. 

The President gave the guidance today as he commissioned the state-of-the-art Kasubi Market in Rubaga Division, Kampala. The Shs1.66 billion facility will serve 800 vendors working in shifts.
