BRIEFING TO THE MEDIA ON CABINET DECISIONS TAKEN DURING THE CABINET MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 9th SEPTEMBER, 2019 AT STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE
President Yoweri Museveni and the First lady Hon. Janet Museveni have left from Dar es Salaam for Entebbe after a two-day working visit.
Two officials of the Middle East Consultants have been charged for human trafficking offences at the Entebbe Court in Wakiso District.
Godfrey Kyalimpa, aged 48 years and Benon Kunywana, 36 years old, were charged before Magistrate Fiona Birungi under 4 counts of trafficking 50 Ugandans and uttering a forged document.
The Head of the Anti-Corruption Unit in State House, Lt. Col. Edith Nakalema, has urged teachers to join the fight against corruption and highlighted the various measures that the Government has taken to eliminate the vice.
“Corruption is defined as evil or a sin. A corrupt person is broken because morals and character do not tally with the expectations of society. The practice is an evil in the whole world. Teachers must lead exemplary lives and be corruption free people,” she said.
President Yoweri Museveni is in Dar-es-Salaam, the Tanzanian Capital, on a 2-day working visit.
The President and his wife, Mrs. Janet Museveni arrived in the country last evening from Cape Town, South Africa where they had been attending the World Economic Forum Conference.
