President Museveni begins 2-day working visit to Tanzania

President Yoweri Museveni is in Dar-es-Salaam, the Tanzanian Capital, on a 2-day working visit. 

The President and his wife, Mrs. Janet Museveni arrived in the country last evening from Cape Town, South Africa where they had been attending the World Economic Forum Conference.

Mr. Museveni was received on arrival at Julius Nyerere International Airport by the Tanzanian Miister of Defence and National Service, Dr. Hussein Mwinyi, the Minister of Education, Science, Technonoloy and Vocational Training, Prof. Joyce Ndalichako. 

The Ugandan contingent at the Airport included the Minister of Public Service, Mr.  Muruli Mukasa, Uganda’s High Commissioner to Tanzania, Mr. Richard Kaboneroa and the Defence Attaché to Tanzania, Maj. Gen. Steven Kashaka, among others.

During his stay in Tanzania, President Museveni and his host, President John Pombe Magufuli, will officiate at the inauguration ceremonies of the Julius Nyerere International Conference Centre (JNICC) and the launching of the Uganda-Tanzania Business Forum in Dar-es-Salaam.
