MUSEVENI COMMISSIONS NATIONAL DEFENCE COLLEGE (NDC) IN BUIKWE

H.E Gen. Yoweri Museveni, who is also the Commander-In-Chief (C-I-C) of the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) has commissioned the first National Defense College (NDC) in Uganda located at Naminya, Njeru Town Council in Buikwe district.

Museveni also commissioned the college governing council and opened the inaugural course 1/2022 with an enrollment of 18 participants drawn from UPDF.

MUSEVENI OKAYS IGAD HEADS-OF-STATE SUMMIT ON SECURITY

Uganda will in March this year host Heads-of-State under the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in Kampala to find lasting solutions to the security challenges affecting the eight-country bloc in Africa.

President Yoweri Museveni gave the greenlight to the summit in a meeting he held with the Executive Secretary of IGAD, Dr. Workneh Gebeheyu, who paid a courtesy call on him at State House, Entebbe, today.

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI LAUNCHES #EXPLOREUGANDA THE PEARL OF AFRICA" BRAND

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today officially launched Destination Uganda brand #ExploreUganda" aimed at promoting Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, as a competitive tourism destination.

While unveiling the brand at Kololo Independence Grounds in Kampala, the President urged the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities together with Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) to put more emphasis on community and cultural tourism.

ACCRA, GHANA: President Yoweri Museveni has hailed the partnership between the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) and the Secretariat of African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), in line with the decisions of the 12th and 13th Extraordinary Sessions of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, to launch the Pan-African Payments and Settlement Systems (PAPSS), a platform that facilitates instant cross-border payments in local currencies between countries is a welcome development.
