STATE LODGE, NAKASERO: President Yoweri Museveni has urged Ugandans to embrace the countrywide vaccination exercise and observe the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus even as they celebrate the festive season.
STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Yoweri Museveni has commended the Indian community in Uganda for its contribution to the economic development of the country and appealed to them to encourage more people to exploit the vast investment opportunities here.
“Thank yos so much for your contribution to the economic development of the country. Bring more business people for investments here. Encourage more people to come for tourism also”, he said.
The UPDF Engineering Brigade working with FARDC has embarked on opening up the impassable stretch of the main supply route from Mukakati UPDF Forward Operating Base (FOB) up to ease passage through R.Semlik Bridge.
The dilapidated and narrow stretch of 14kms had slowed down the advance of UPDF ground offensive against ADF terrorists.
KOLOLO CEREMONIAL GROUNDS: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has urged anti-corruption agencies to inculcate a good work culture among Ugandans using the sectors of wealth creation to eliminate corruption.
"The sectors of wealth are there and well known; agriculture, services, manufacturing etc, so that people get the culture of starting small and belonging," he said.
President Yoweri Museveni has assured the people of the East Africa that the concept of integration is possible as there are political, economic and social elements of commonality among the people of the region.
“Political and economic integration in EA is possible because the people in the region are similar or compatible for political federation,” he said.
President Yoweri Museveni has assured a visiting Indian Industries Association delegation of investors that Uganda has an abundant potential and unexploited areas of investment calling upon them to come and exploit the investment opportunities for profit.
The President was today holding a meeting with the delegation led by the Chairman of Indian Association in Uganda Mr Ashok Kumar Agarwal at State House Entebbe.
