Kampala youth tour Luweero-based Kawumu Presidential Demonstration Farm

Over 120 youths, under their umbrella organization ‘Steady Youth Platform’ have toured Kawumu Presidential Demonstration Farm in Luweero District.

The youth group from Kampala and Wakiso Disricts that was lead by Mr. Ssenabulya Frank, comprises 62 different sub-groups under the main ‘Steady Youth Platform’ that deal in different enterprises that include fish farming in Nalukolongo, carpentry in Namungoona, Shoe making in Kasubi, welding and hairdressing, among others. 

NRM National Delegates’ Conference Adopts New Election Amendment

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) National Delegates’ Conference has today adopted the NRM Constitutional Amendment of lining up behind party representatives during elections at the Party Primaries. 

This was reached today during the 2nd meeting of the 3rd NRM National Delegates’ Conference at Namboole stadium in Kampala chaired by the National Chairman of NRM Party, President Museveni. The adoption of the amendment came after heated debate amongst the delegates.

Report Corrupt Government workers, Museveni urges Investors

LONDON: President Yoweri Museveni has urged investors to report government officials who seek bribes, saying punitive action will be taken against those found guilty.

"We have launched a campaign against the corrupt. It is easy to root out this evil. The public hates them. All we need are facts. We are discouraging anyone who pays bribes. Don't deal with crooks," said the President.

President to lead 100km trek to Celebrate freedom Fighters

KAMPALA, UGANDA: President Museveni will lead veterans, youth (Bazukulu) and well-wishers in a 60mile (100km) symbolic trek from Galamba in Wakiso district to Birembo in Kibaale district to celebrate freedom fighters heroic sacrifices for patriotism.

“The trek which should be on foot, should remind the elderly but also to sensitize the younger people, including the Bazukulu, the heroic exertions of the freedom fighters who were doing for no pay, no reward – just for patriotism, (mwooyo gwa Uganda),” he said.
