“ENROLL ONLY UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN FROM KAMPALA FOR GOVERNMENT SKILLING PROGRAM” - MINISTER KABANDA TO LOCAL AUTHORITIES

The Minister of Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Hajjat Minsa Kabanda has urged local authorities in Kampala to recommend only the underprivileged children from the five (5) divisions of the city for free training at the skilling centers under the Presidential Initiative on Skilling the Girl/Boy Child (PISGBC) project. 

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI INSISTS ON DIGITAL NUMBER PLATES PROJECT, SAYS IT WILL BE A BIG BLOW TO CRIME

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has insisted that the digital motor number plates project must go on as planned, saying it will be very vital in fighting crime in Uganda.

“Now, I'm insisting on the issue of electronic number plates; It will be a very big blow to crime because most of the people move to and from the scene of crime by either a vehicle or a boda boda,” said President Museveni who is also the Commander In Chief of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).

A delegation of South African ministers has thanked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for being an exceptional leader who has steered development in Uganda. 

The Ministers also extended greetings from the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and thanked the two Heads of State for their commitment towards promoting the bilateral relations between the two nations. 

“STOP USING MONEY IN POLITICS,” H.E MUSEVENI TELLS NRM LEADERS

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni continues to warn politicians, especially members of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party against using their own money in politics with the hope of solving all their constituents' problems.

According to the President, the move is very expensive and depletes resources without creating any significant change to the population.

Gen. Kale Kayihura has commended President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for establishing a secure and stable future for Ugandans that has enabled the citizens to transform socially and economically.

Gen. Kayihura made the remarks yesterday during a send-off ceremony at State House Entebbe that saw him and other 10 army Generals officially retire from the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). The ceremony was officiated by President Museveni, who is also the Commander in Chief of UPDF.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today reiterated the government's commitment to develop all sports disciplines in Uganda now that the country has registered significant improvements in the economy. 

According to the President, the focus is now on building more stadiums and training facilities across the country for all sports disciplines.
