President Museveni on two-day official visit to Zimbabwe

HARARE, ZAMBABWE - President Yoweri Museveni has arrived in the Zimbabwe Capital Harare on a two-day official visit at the invitation of the President of Zimbabwe His Excellency Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The President is the Chief Guest at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) and will officially open it on Friday 26th, 2019 in Bulawayo, the second largest city in the Southwest of Zimbabwe.

President Accepts NRM Caucus Nomination for 2021 Presidential Candidature

President Yoweri Museveni who is also the national Chairman of the NRM Party has today accepted the NRM Parliamentary Caucus endorsement of the Party’s Central Executive Committee’s resolution that was made at Chobe Safari Hotel in Nwoya District last month that nominated him as the NRM Presidential candidate for the 2021 elections. 

President Museveni Ranked among Best Presidents in the World

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has been ranked among the best President’s in the World, according to a New York University and World Bank experts who ranked the President 12th in terms of influencing economic growth.
The report first released in May 2018 by the World Bank economist Steve Penning’s and New York University Economics Professor William Easterly indicates that Museveni is one of the best leaders with a significant positive impact on their countries economic growth.

UPDF success is Rooted in its right Ideology – President Museveni

President Yoweri Museveni and Commander-in-Chief of the Uganda Armed Forces has said that the National Resistance Army (NRA) which later became Uganda People’ Defence Forces (UPDF), has managed to grow from strength to strength in the last 38 years because it was founded on the right ideology that emphasized discipline, patriotism, Pan-Africanism and the socio-economic transformation agenda. He said that the UPDF started by liberating, pacifying and guaranteeing peace and security in the entire country. 

President Receives Special Message from UN Secretary General

President Yoweri Museveni has received a special message from the Secretary General of the United Nations, Mr. Antonio Guteres, appreciating him for his endless efforts towards keeping the East African Region safe.

The message was delivered to the President yesterday at State House, Nakasero, by the UN Secretary General’s Special Envoy for Burundi, Mr. Michael Kafando, who was accompanied by the UN Resident Coordinator in Uganda, Ms. Rose Malango.
