PRESIDENT MUSEVENI CAUTIONS POLITICIANS, CIVIL SERVANTS FRUSTRATING INVESTORS

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has reiterated his call to stop the exportation of raw materials, saying that Uganda loses a lot of money annually due to such economic undertaking.

He instead advised Ugandans and foreign investors to instead work towards adding value to the country's products in order to help the country achieve the much-desired socio-economic transformation agenda.

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI RE-AFFIRMS HIS BAN ON TIMBER EXPORT

H.E The President advises timber dealers to convert timber into furniture then export it to countries without trees. 

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has reaffirmed his ban on the exportation of unprocessed timber in Uganda. 

“I said nobody should export timber which is unprocessed. So if you are a furniture maker, that is what you want. Keep the timber and make the furniture here. So, if you want to export, you export the furniture not the timber,” President Museveni said. 

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI AND AZERBAIJANI DELEGATION DISCUSS INNOVATIONS IN PUBLIC SERVICE ADMINISTRATION

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday met a delegation from the Republic of Azerbaijan led by His Excellency Ulvi Mehdiyev, the Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

H.E Mehdiyev is also the chairman of Azerbaijan Service and Assessment Network (ASAN) which is a state agency for public services to citizens of Azerbaijan.

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI, AU COMMISSION CHAIRPERSON DISCUSS SOLUTIONS TO CONFLICTS IN DR CONGO AND SUDAN

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni believes the insecurity in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan can be solved once leaders agree to reject sectarian politics and embrace politics based on the common interests of the people.

In a meeting with the Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat at State House Entebbe on Monday 24th July 2023, His Excellency Museveni said the problems of Africa are all connected to Western imperialism and their interests which Uganda rejected.
