“UGANDA HAS THE ABILITY TO FEED 200M PEOPLE AND MORE”- PRESIDENT MUSEVENI TELLS SERBIA AS HE MAKES CASE FOR COUNTRY'S FLOURISHING AGRICULTURAL SECTOR

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has called upon the government and people of the Republic of Serbia to support Uganda's flourishing agricultural sector.

President Museveni made the request yesterday while meeting a group of officials from the Presidential Advisory Committee on Exports and Industrial Development (PACEID) led by Mr. Odrek Rwabwogo at Nakasero State Lodge.

H.E THE PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE ON THE DEATH OF COLONEL (RTD) CHARLES ENGOLA

Fellow Ugandans,

Condolences on the death of Colonel (rtd) Charles Engola. Colonel (rtd) Charles Engola was a lion. I, first, saw him in Lubiri barracks (before it was returned to the Kabaka) manning a 14.5mm anti-air-craft gun in 1986.

Later, he became an infantry Commander in the Minakulu area. That is when he got his Machodwogo Kikubyo (praise name). Mac in our Luo language means fire. Dwogo, means, “Coming back” (Okudda, Okugaruka).

H.E YOWERI KAGUTA MUSEVENI’S REMARKS DURING THE VIRTUAL MEETING OF IGAD HEADS OF STATE AND HEADS OF GOVERNMENT.

Your Excellencies, The Heads of State and Heads of Government of IGAD;

The Executive Secretary.

I thank the Executive Secretary for calling this emergency Meeting of the IGAD Heads of State.

When I last visited Khartoum on 5th August, 2018, and in all the other meetings before, like the one of Naivasha and so on, I always told the Sudanese about the dangers of ideological and strategic mistakes.
