SOUTH AFRICAN MINISTERS LAUD PRESIDENT MUSEVENI FOR STEERING UGANDA'S DEVELOPMENT

A delegation of South African ministers has thanked President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for being an exceptional leader who has steered development in Uganda. 

The Ministers also extended greetings from the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and thanked the two Heads of State for their commitment towards promoting the bilateral relations between the two nations. 

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI MEETS INTERNATIONAL CIVIL AVIATION ORGANIZATION OFFICIALS

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni yesterday welcomed a delegation from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) at Munyonyo. 

The group is in Uganda to carry out an oversight audit on Entebbe International Airport. The purpose of the audit is to assess the level of Uganda’s effective implementation of ICAO standards and recommended practices. 

MTN HAILS PRESIDENT MUSEVENI FOR THE SUPPORT TOWARDS TELECOM COMPANY

A delegation from the MTN Group has today paid a courtesy call to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at Commonwealth Resort, Munyonyo. 

This was after the end of the two-day Uganda-South Africa Trade and Investment summit. 

During the meeting, President Museveni appealed to MTN Group to bring more investors to Uganda in order to accelerate development in the country.

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appealed to South African investors to join forces with Uganda to ensure that they exploit the economic potential of the East African country.

This, the President said, will help build a strong economy for the two countries and Africa at large.

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI GUIDES NEMA ON NAMANVE INDUSTRIAL PARK LAND

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has guided officials from the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) and other stakeholders on the Namanve Industrial Park land.

During a meeting held yesterday at State Lodge- Nakasero, President Museveni said the wetland in Namanve Industrial Park must be preserved and as NEMA they should not allocate investors land in the transitional areas.

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI COMMISSIONS RAILWAY CONCRETE SLEEPER FACTORY

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today commissioned Uganda's first ever railway concrete sleeper Factory in Kawolo, Lugazi, Buikwe district.

During the ceremony, President Museveni applauded the proprietors of the factory- Imathia Construction, headed by the company's Chairman Mr. Julian Garcia Velverde for helping Uganda achieve part of its vision of building an economy which is integrated, independent and self-sustaining.

Gen. Kale Kayihura has commended President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for establishing a secure and stable future for Ugandans that has enabled the citizens to transform socially and economically.

Gen. Kayihura made the remarks yesterday during a send-off ceremony at State House Entebbe that saw him and other 10 army Generals officially retire from the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). The ceremony was officiated by President Museveni, who is also the Commander in Chief of UPDF.

“This retirement do not regard it as becoming redundant now, no, not at all. This is like a mutation; from one form of service to another one and that is why we had to hold on to retirement until we had solved the problem of package and I can assure you that what you are going with is considerable. That is why last year I permitted the retirement of generals and that is why for a long time we do not permit the retirement of casualties at Mubende.

PRESIDENT MUSEVENI MEETS UPDF AND FARDC SENIOR ARMY OFFICERS, REVIEW OPERATION SHUJAA

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today met senior army officers from the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) and the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo (FARDC) at State House Entebbe. 

During the meeting, President Museveni who is also the Commander In Chief of UPDF and the senior army officers reviewed the progress of Operation Shujaa in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
