President Mourns Prof. Mbonye, “He had a lot to offer the Country”

STATE LODGE, NAKASERO: President Yoweri Museveni has described the death of Prof. Anthony Kabanza Mbonye as a big disappointment to the country and the medical service.

Mbonye, 59 was a professor at the school of Public Health, Makerere University and Uganda Christian University. He was also a former Director of Health Services in the Ministry of Health. He is husband to the outgoing State House Comptroller Ms. Lucy Nakyobe Mbonye.

President to Decide on NSSF Mid-term Access in two weeks after Conflicting Figures

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: Conflicting information and change in wording regarding the National Social Security (Amendment) bill has today forced the President to push a major decision on the workers mid-term access to their savings for another two weeks.

“Let us give ourselves two weeks and conclusively solve this matter. I want to be clear with the figures. I am going to do my own research. Let us meet on August 4th,” the President said.
