39 year-old Isaac Sendegyeya was shot dead on Sunday morning of 21st July 2019 at the door of his home by unknown assailants as he returned home.

President Yoweri Museveni has commissioned a 10-km long deterrent electric fence covering the periphery of the section of Queen Elizabeth National Park lies in Rubirizi District as a measure taken by government to keep away wildlife animals from raiding farmers’ crops.

President Yoweri Museveni who is currently in South Western Uganda to sensitize the wananchi on wealth and job creation campaign, has disclosed that the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government will work to enable the manufacturing of solar powered water pumps to ensure the realization of both sustainable irrigation and agro-production.
“We will support the efforts of solar pumps to help you on irrigation,” he said.
