A serene mood hung over Serere and indeed, beyond Teso, as  the leader of the Iteso Cultural Union Papa Emorimor Augustine Lemukol was laid to rest, almost three weeks after his death. 

 In a ceremony that attracted representatives from as far as Kenya, Sudan and beyond, Papa Emorimor was described by both the clergy and different other speakers as a rare leader, a man who built consensus, a unifier. 

Vice President Jessica Alupo has made strong calls and commitment in advancing the Common African Position on the UN Security Council reform. Alupo was speaking at the African Union Committee of 10 (C10) meeting that was chaired by its coordinator- Sierra Leon’s President Dr. Julius Maada Bio.

Vice President, Jessica Alupo has arrived in Ethiopia where she is representing  President  Museveni at the 35th Ordinary session of the African Union (AU).

Mzee Sosani Magunda of Nawanyago in Kimuli District has been laid to rest in his home at Nalinaibi village.

Mzee Sosani the father to the Minister for Presidency Milly Babalanda passed away last week in Mulago Hospital where he had been referred from Jinja Referral Hospital. 

The Vice President Rtd. Maj. Jessica Alupo represented Government at the burial attended by several political, Religious, cultural and Government officials and leaders from Busoga sub region.
