Ladies and gentlemen,

It is with great honor that I extend my warmest greetings to you all, and especially to the young leaders, delegates, and partners who have gathered for this year’s Afro-Arab Youth Congress.
This year’s congress is the first of its kind and stands as a powerful platform where the youth of Africa and the Arab world will come together to share ideas, celebrate their and our cultural diversity, and chart a common vision for peace, development, and sustainable progress.
Today’s youth are the cornerstone of our shared future and their creativity, energy, and vision are essential for building resilient societies and fostering prosperity across nations. By convening this congress, which will happen in Munyonyo from 7th to 10th October 2025, we reaffirm our collective commitment to empowering young people with the skills, networks, and opportunities they need to lead with integrity, innovation, and courage.
Uganda is deeply honored to host this great gathering, for it is not only a reflection of our country’s hospitality but also a demonstration of our belief in the transformative power of young people.
As Minister for the Presidency, I wish to encourage all participants to take full advantage of this opportunity and engage actively in the discussions, build strong collaborations, and return to your respective communities as true ambassadors of unity and change.
May this congress ignite bold action, meaningful partnerships, and a renewed spirit of solidarity between Africa and the Arab world. Together, let us harness the immense potential of our youth to shape a peaceful, prosperous, and inclusive future for all.
