STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Yoweri Museveni has received a special message from the President of the United States of America Joe Biden congratulating him upon Ugandas’ 59th Independence Anniversary due to be celebrated on Saturday the 9th October 2021.

ADDIS ABABA: President Yoweri Museveni has urged African political leaders and the African people in general to shun the politics of identity that characterized most of the post-independence Africa noting that politic of identity that was mostly based on tribes and religions were counterproductive, diversionary and led to the emergency of many failed states in post-independence Africa.

DUBAI EXPO2020: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has today presided over celebrations at the Uganda National Day at the Dubai Expo 2020 in the United Arab Emirates.

Arriving at the leadership Expo pavilion, President Museveni and his delegation were received by H.E Sheikh Nahayan Mubarak Al Nahayan, the Minister of Tolerance in the United Arab Emirates.

STATE LODGE, NAKASERO: The Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria, Pope Tawadros II has sent a special message to President Yoweri Museveni and the people of Uganda and hailed them for the support extended to them following the demise of  the late  Metropolitan Jonah Lwanga , who served as Archbishop of Kampala and Exarch of All Uganda in the Uganda Orthodox Church.

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE:  President Yoweri Museveni has revealed that government will appeal the court decision to give the murderers of Case Clinic accountant Francis Ekalungar life imprisonment instead of death and emphasized Uganda has not abolished the death sentence. The President also protested the continued decision by the courts to grant bail to murder suspects saying bail is not a constitutional right and must not be used to provoke the public.

STATE LODGE, NAKASERO: President Yoweri Museveni has received a special message from his Kenyan counterpart President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The message was yesterday delivered to the President by Ambassador Raychelle Omamo, Cabinet Secretary (Foreign Affairs) and Amb. Monica Juma (Exon) who is also the Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Defense at State House Nakasero.

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: Eight newly accredited envoys to Uganda from Sweden, Nigeria, Ireland, Hungary, Angola, Australia, Oman and Indonesia have presented their credential letters to President Yoweri Museveni at separate ceremonies that took place at State House in Entebbe yesterday.

KOLOLO CEREMONIAL GROUNDS: President Yoweri Museveni has urged the management of Uganda Revenue Authority to eradicate corruption in the tax body and realize enough revenue to finance the country’s budget.
