President Museveni receives Archbishop of Canterbury at Entebbe

President Yoweri Museveni has welcomed to Uganda the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev. Justin Portal Welby, and Primate of all England as well as Head of the worldwide Anglican Communion.

Prime Minister, Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda, Works and Transport Minister, Gen. Katumba Wamala and outgoing Church of Uganda Archbishop, Most Rev. Stanley Ntagali, among others, attended the meeting that took place today at State House, Entebbe.

West Nile, Karamoja areas to have solar & wind power Driven Plants

President Yoweri Museveni has received Mr. Hussain bin Jassim Al-Nowais, Special Envoy of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, who called on him today at State House, Entebbe. 

President Museveni and Mr. Jassim Al-Nowais, who is also the Chairman of AMEA Power group, agreed to the building of solar and wind power generation plants in West Nile and Karamoja Sub-Regions respectively.

President Museveni calls for US Investments in Africa

NAKASERO, STATE HOUSE LODGE: President Yoweri Museveni has urged American companies to invest in the manufacturing sector on the African continent in order to boost the Ugandan and African economies respectively.

“In order to work for global prosperity, we must focus on producers and consumers. So, we must come up with the issue of comparative advantage. You can fill in the gap of industries because our people are not so well exposed,” he said.
