President Yoweri Museveni has received the outgoing American Ambassador to Uganda, Deborah Malac, who called on him today at State House, Entebbe to take leave of him after her 4-year tour of duties in Uganda.
Ambassador Malac said that she enjoyed her stay in Uganda and called for further strengthening of the bonds of bilateral cooperation between Uganda and the United States of America.

STATE HOUSE, ENTEBBE: President Yoweri Museveni has warned all public servants against engaging in any form of corruption. He reminded them that engaging in any form of corruption by any government officials is a great betrayal to Ugandans who are desperately yearning for service delivery.

The President was speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Ministers that were announced in a minor Cabinet change that he made on 14th December 2019. The ceremony took place today at State House, Entebbe.

President Yoweri Museveni has called on universities in the country to teach courses that will help address the needs of society and development of the country.

The President was today officiated the 15th graduation ceremony of Gulu University in Northern Uganda where over 1,500 students graduated with Degrees, Diplomas and Certificates. 226 of the students had been on government sponsorship.

President Yoweri Museveni has urged the people of Kakumiro District in Bunyoro Sub-Region to prioritize household income and leave issues of infrastructure development to Government to implement.

President Yoweri Museveni has explained that the purpose of the 2020 Great Trek from Galamba in Wakiso District to Birembo in Kakumiro District was not to show stamina but rather to educate the young generation about the history of their country, appreciate the veterans who fough for its liberation and do what they need to do to make sure that their country survives.

KAMPALA: The new Principal Private Secretary to the President Dr. Kenneth Omona Olusegun has called on staff of State House to work diligently and maintain at all times the positive image of the country by fulfilling all their tasks.

“I have come to work with you individually, departmentally and institutionally. Let us build our strength towards working for the development of Uganda,” he said.

President Yoweri Museveni has called on the people of Kiruhuura District in particular and Uganda at large to fully utilize their God-given talents to cause development in their homesteads and in the whole country as well. 

President Yoweri Museveni has advised farmers in the country who have big chunks of land that they can grow maize while those with four acres and below should embrace the four-acre model of production of fruits, coffee, food crops and grass that can be used as fodder for animals.

The President gave the advice at a public rally that was held yesterday in Kitenga Sub-County in Mubende District.

President Yoweri Museveni has commissioned over 6,000 Local Defence personnel who have successfully completed 16 weeks’ training.

The ceremony took place yesterday at the Oliver Tambo Leadership Institute, Kaweweta in Central Region’s Nakaseke District, was characterized by a display of various military skills by the trainees. 

President Yoweri Museveni has pledged US$100,000 to the construction of the ‘William Ruto Institute of African Studies’ building that is slated to be erected at Makerere University in Kampala. 

The pledge was revealed in a meeting between Mr. Museveni and visiting Deputy President of Kenya, William Ruto, who called on him today at Mubende State Lodge and during which Mr. Museveni endorsed the construction of the complex.
