“Work for the Prosperity of your People,”

JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN: President Yoweri Museveni has strongly urged political leaders in Africa to work for peace and prosperity of their people and stop wasting time on retrogressive sectarian  issues like  identity of tribe or region. 

The President who started his remarks using Arabic words Tatawir (Prosperity), Hawiya (identity) and Masilaha (Unity) said it was absolute rubbish to waste even one afternoon to talk about identity.

“Prioritize Production ahead of Consumption” – President Museveni to Ugandans

 

President Yoweri Museveni today presided over Uganda’s 57th National independence anniversary celebrations at Sironko district headquarter grounds in Eastern Region and called upon Ugandans to support the National Resistance Movement plan of developing Uganda by prioritising production ahead of consumption. He said this would enable the country to solve the strategic bottlenecks to her economic growth adding that once solved, Uganda’s economy will grow in double digits.

President Commends Patriotism Club

President Yoweri Museveni has commended the leaders of the National Patriotism Club of Uganda for teaching the youth about the history of Uganda and how far the country has so far reached.

Mr. Museveni made this evening officiating as Chief guest at the Patriotism Catch-up ceremony organized by the National Secretariat for Patriotism Corps of Uganda that took place at Kololo Independence Ceremonial Grounds in Kampala. 

President to crime preventers “Work with Police to curb crime”

LUGOGO, KAMPALA: President Yoweri Museveni has clarified that crime preventers were created for two purposes; to work with the police in curbing crime and to act as reserve Army, adding that the government couldn’t turn them into employees because of the limited financial resources.

He, however, assured them that government would help support them from where they are to improve on their welfare through Savings and Credit Cooperatiove Organizations (SACCOs.) 

“Uganda safest place to invest your Money”, Museveni tells Business Community

CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA: Uganda is the safest place for any investor to inject their money and offers immense business opportunities, President Museveni has said.

“If there is a place where you can easily make money, it is Uganda.  The place is secure.  That is why we host 1.4 million refugees from the neighbouring countries," he said.
